First it was Solange, now Rihanna is taking creative reigns over at Puma! She’s now the Creative Director of the sporting brand’s womenswear line.
As reported on WWD and shared on her Instagram, RiRi’s lofty position with the brand started yesterday (Dec 15), as she met with the design team at the headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany to give her input on the line’s upcoming collection, which includes apparel and shoes in Puma’s fitness and training line.
Rihanna will also be the brand’s global ambassador along with soccer star Mario Balotelli and Jamaican multi-Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt as a part of Puma’s fall 2015 ad campaign.
Puma’s chief executive officer Bjørn Gulden said in a statement, “Signing Rihanna is a fantastic step for Puma. Her global profile, her charisma and individuality, her ambition—all these things make her a perfect ambassador for our brand. With a strong portfolio in football, running and motorsport, finding an inspiring partner for women’s training was very important. Rihanna was a natural choice for us. We’re delighted to have her as a partner, and we’re looking forward to what’s to come.”
Can’t deny Rihanna’s drive, grind and pull…congrats, RiRi!
