Ever since leaving the cast of “Love & Hip Hop New York,” singer-songwriter Olivia’s been relatively silent, but she returns in our sights today with “Unknown.”
Hard to believe a Busta Rhymes tune can be flipped into a ballad, but it works here, as Olivia sings her woes on a sample of Rhymes’ “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” brushed up with some piano chords, thanks to DJ Killah Touch.
On the tune, the NY singer laments about noticing a change in her boo, causing a riff in the relationship. “Every day I see your face, but I don’t know who you are,” she sings.
"I chose the track because it was so real," says Olivia. "We all know someone that has changed for the worse. Their behavior is totally different from when you first knew them and you can't go on living or loving like this anymore."
Take a listen; think Olivia has a hit with this one?
