Mary J. Blige is rejuvenated by the artists and sounds across the pond, so much so that her upcoming album is titled, Mary J. Blige: The London Sessions. After linking with rising UK star Sam Smith and electronic music duo Disclosure earlier this year, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul summoned the two along with Emeli Sandé, and Naughty Boy for her upcoming opus, and the first offering from the set is "Right Now," a record produced by Disclosure and co-penned by Sam Smith.
"Working with these guys, it's like they're my family," Mary told The UK Guardian. "We all seem to have a good chemistry together. And when I sign on, I sign on – I can't go hang out! Because I have to make sure that my music is right. And I love to work. I love creating, and once I'm in it, I'm just in it. I just love being all in the midst of the creativity." And the clip shows just that: Mary creating in the studio and having a ball while doing it.
Mary J Blige: The London Sessions will be released on December 2 on Capitol Records
