Britain’s golden child Sam Smith made his debut performance at the MTV VMAs tonight, performing his hit single “Stay With Me.” The energy for all performances prior to this one were on ten, but Smith mellowed the vibes with a stripped-down set.
Even though Smith lost the award for "Best Male Video" to fellow British artist Ed Sheeran (for his video “Sing”), he still showed up to prove why he was invited to one of the biggest nights in music.
