Last night (August 21), Chris Brown took part in a celebrity charity basketball game at the CC Sabathia and Robinson Cano’s Summer Classic Charity Basketball Game at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. The social media topic of the night, however, his ex, pop star Rihanna, was in attendance. At one point, Chris came near her and slapped high-five to a young fan, to which Rihanna’s obvious aversion speaks volumes; you can cut the tension with a knife!
Even though it was an obligation for Rihanna to attend (as her name was billed on the promo flyers as a “celeb appearance"), RiRi looked like she was bored most of the game. But hey, that could be due to the fact that she had to continuously look at her ex for a few hours (that could be torture for anyone!)
Despite the underlying tensions, the game was a success, raising $1 million for Sabathia’s PitCCh In Foundation and Cano’s RC22 Foundation. Other celebs such as DJ Clue, Ne-Yo, DJ Khaled, and Fabolous all played in the game.
