Maxwell is taking his music to the high seas next year with a just announced cruise.
Titled "Maxwell + The 7 Seas," the cruise will depart May 3, 2015 and feature not only the "Pretty Wings" and "Lifetime" singer. It will also feature performances from Ledisi, Chrisette Michele, Anthony Hamilton, Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Daley, Eric Roberson, Joe, Brian Culbertson, DL Hughley and Boney James.
"Maxwell launched his career by inviting fans into his “Urban Hang Suite”. Now he is relocating the “hang” to one of the 7 seas, on board one of Royal Caribbean’s most luxurious ships – the Freedom of the Seas for a one week cruise May 3 – 10, 2015," organizers report. The seven day cruise sets sail May 3 from Port Canaveral, Florida and will make stops in St. Thomas, St. Maarten and the private island of Cococay.
