Luke James made some noise last year when he opened for Beyonce on her Mrs. Carter World Tour and dropped “I.O.U.” and a few visuals to get the buzz going. Since then, things have been relatively quiet, but it turns out, he’s been putting the finishing touches on his debut album, Made To Love.
He taps fellow Def Jam label-mate Rick Ross for “Options,” reportedly the official first single from James’ upcoming LP. This one is the best of both worlds, as the track opens with the emotive piano and vocals of James, then the beat drops for a head-noddin' musical lansdcape for Ross to flow on. In the simple visual, both artists utilize a dark, empty space as the perfect ominous ambiance for Ross' street cred and Luke's emotions to shine through (which he does so well!).
