Alicia Keys treats fans with another unreleased tune from her AK Vault. The new offering entitled, “Zebras and Airplanes,” recorded five years ago during her Element of Freedom project, is an airy and eargasmic lullaby that will surely glue itself to the depth of your musical cranium.
“I had never been overcome to write a song after seeing a painting before, but this one sent me to another place,” Keys wrote on her website AK Vault. “I felt it! The power, the freedom, the strength to gallop and fly. And I knew right at that moment I would write a song called ‘Zebras and Airplanes’ to describe that kind of love. The whole of you—body and soul—can gallop and fly!”
Keys also took to Twitter to wish fans a joyous Valentine’s Day: “Love on yourself. Pamper yourself. Cherish yourself. Today and forever,” she said. “I wish you the kind of love that comes from within and spreads all the way out!”
