What does Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna have in common? Besides being 3 of the most powerful women in the music industry; these three divas are affiliated with MAC cosmetics. MAC is one of most, if not thee most popular cosmetic company in the world. Their genius idea of collaborating with dynamic artists like the ladies mentioned, only led the company down the path of makeup domination. Gaga led the pack with her line of Viva Glam lipsticks. Nicki Minaj sold out her lip glass and lip stick collection. Rihanna fell right in line with the timeless RiRi Woo, that sold like hotcakes. Although these women are more than deserving of their own Viva Glams and collections, we have a few other powerhouses in mind that would have MAC sales sky rocketing even more.
What artists do you think would be great for MAC?
The Yours Truly Collection?
Ariana Grande has taken the industry by storm. Her voice, style, and personality all contributed to her nabbing the number one spot on Billboard (well, maybe her voice has a lot to do with that). None the less, her personality has the world smitten. A palette of soft pinks, reds, and nudes would be a great ode to Ariana; whether it be lips and/or cheeks. One major selling point of the “Your Truly Collection” would be its universal appeal. The innocence of the collection would be enough to attract the teenie bopper, but still soft and subtle to attract those grown ladies who want a fresh and classy look.
She Did That Collection?
Tamar has proven herself to be more then a reality television star. It was her voice that got her to the top of the charts with “Love and War.” With all the media and promotional moves with the albums, Tamar prides herself on looking the best from head to toe; face included. How would we design a pallere after Ms. Braxton? Easy. Tamar exhibits class but at the same time is known for her hype and bold personality. With that said, she can picture “She Did That” with fun bright pinks, purple, and maybe even a “Braxton Red”. Hmm⦠more over RiRi Woo.
The Boss Collection?
The original! The mother! The boss! Diana Ross is a true diva that should have her own MAC collection. She defines glamour, class, and majesty; all the qualities that makes for a promising makeup collection. Now some automatically might want to place Miss Ross in a hair busniess , but don’t get it twisted Miss Ross serves face for days. The disco diva has been through it all; scandal, fame, and fortune and has still kept her name dirt free. She encompasses empowerment that women today look for. If we had to help MAC along with “The Boss Collection “palette , we would suggest lip colors that represent the glamour of the 70’s, such as a fun orange, bright red, or even a glittery clear gloss. Eye shadows will consist of deep and loud blues and pinks.
The OWN Collection?
Oprah has seen it all and done it all; television, magazines, movies, books, makeup should be her next venture. And if we know Oprah, she would be successful at it. We know Oprah is not one for a face full of makeup, but she always keeps a natural look. The “Own Collection” is for those ladies who want to remain natural classic and the same time like Ms. Winfrey. The potential palette would consist of browns, light oranges, and nudes.
The Twerk Collection?
We know MAC will go as far as to name a collection after a booty popping dance, but when you hear the name Miley Cyrus, that is all you can think about. Miley has left the innocence of Disney and long brunette hair to come to ice blonde hair, Juicy J friendship, and grills. In midst of America rolling their eyes at her, we appreciate the essence of innovation and self confidence that Miley illustrates as well as her illustrating a beautiful face. We might not understand her wardrobe picks, but Miley’s face is always on point. We see Miley’s palate is loud and fun with deep reds, fuchsias, and maybe a black or dark purple. Hate it or love, but bet you one thing, this collection will be banger.
