Thanks to albums and songs like "V.S.O.P," "Special Delivery," "Three Kings" and "Sex Never Felt Better," R&B talents including K. Michelle, Bridget Kelly and TGT are headed to the Soul Train Awards with a coveted nomination.
All three were announced as nominees for the Best New Artist award during a nominations ceremony Tuesday.
They share the field with "Love and War" singer Tamar Braxton and breakout hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar, who is this year's leading nominee with nods in other categories like Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year and Album of the Year ("Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City").
Braxton is also a leading nominee with nominations in categories including Song of the Year and Video of the Year.
Slated to tape in November, the 2013 Soul Train Awards are due to air December 1 on BET and Centric.
