Chrisette Michele is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. She was born in Central Islip, New York on December 8th, 1982 to parents Lynne and Lee Bryant. Growing up, she developed a love for singing and performing at church as well as in various competitions around her hometown. Her career began shortly after high school when she signed with the independent label SRC Records.
