He may be John Legend’s brother, but he wants the world to know he can make it on his own. With that said, Vaughn Anthony, whom has been doing promotional stops around the U.S. for the last year, has organized his independent team to release his forthcoming mixtape and EP album ‘Life of a Player.”
“Mutual” is the latest offering from the R&B crooner. The track tells a tale of both partners being at a place where they know the feeling to end the relationship is mutual. So when you hear “every time I turn you talking about you don’t want me/ every time I turn you talking bout you don’t love me no more,” you are comfortable saying the feeling is “Mutual.”
‘Life of a Player’ will be released on July 31st both in form of a free mixtape and a digital EP that will be on iTunes and Amazon. The effort will feature guest appearances from John Legend, Rick Ross, Prodigy of Mobb Deep among others.
“Music is a competitive industry and today there are so many microwave artists that don’t last,” says VA. “I’ve been oven-baked and I know I have good music. It’s important for me to reach out to potential fans and give them a reason to buy my music. I believe once music lovers learn of my hard work as a writer, singer, producer and CEO, they will have a deeper appreciation for my talent.”
For fans who would like to help fund the promotions for this project, visit VA’s Indiegogo page.
He adds: “This Indiegogo campaign is about helping me help others by getting my music and story out to the masses. At the end of the day, my aim is to entertain and inspire people through my music.”
