Broadway, American Idol and The Voice star Frenchie Davis is ready to dance with a new album and single.
Announcing her latest musical effort this week, the powerhouse singer will throw in a little R&B, but wants to make people feel good with dance at the same time.
“I’m going to throw in a power ballad and sing all the way out, but it’s definitely going to be dance. I’ve experimented with a lot of things, and this is where I should be,” Davis tells St. Louis Today.
Crediting Christina Aguilera and The Voice for finding her sound, Davis says “I owe ‘The Voice’ for figuring out what my sound is. Christina (Aguilera) had me signing dance pop. That’s something I initially would not have chosen, but it took off.”
“Love’s Got a Hold on Me” will lead her forthcoming album. A video has also been shot for that single.
