Rihanna continues to make chart history. The 24-year-old has earned her 22nd top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her latest dance-infused single “Where Have You Been.” The track is currently sitting at No. 9 after moving up two spots on this week’s tally.
The new feat moves Rihanna closer to the Hot 100 most top 10s record among women, which is held by pop queen Madonna, who sits at 38. Following behind the “Like a Virgin” hitmaker are Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson (27 each) and Whitney Houston (23).
Rihanna landed her first top ten in July 2005 with her debut single “Pon De Replay.” In her seven year time span, she leads all males and females artists. Lil Wayne is second in that time frame with 16.
