After dominating the music charts, Nicki Minaj is ready to expand her empire even more with her latest Pepsi endorsement. The lead lady of the Young Money conglomerate is now going to be the face of Pepsi’s new beverage in a multimillion-dollar deal.
According to Derek Jackson, the Glu agency chief behind the agreement, part of the deal also included Minaj filming a commercial in South America last month (which has since leaked onto YouTube).
“You’ll see the commercial probably in the next two months,” Jackson told Forbes. “That’ll be a segue into a new beverage Pepsi has, called ‘Pop,’ and she’ll be the face of the brand … it’s going to be explosive.”
The deal also includes another seven-figure commitment partnership with another Young Money/Cash Money artist â Lil Wayne. While at his South by Southwest showcase, Wayne debuted his DEWeezy campaign with Pepsi’s Mountain Dew.
