In the wake of controversial comments made by many following Chris Brown’s Grammy Award win and associated performances, “All Of Me” singer Estelle wants people to lay off and stop counting on recording artists to raise their children.
“Parents, raise your kids. Young men and women, raise your kids. Don’t let us raise your children. That’s my take on it,” Estelle shared with Vibe recently.
According to Estelle, Chris Brown, or any artist for that matter, shouldn’t be held responsible for children and how they turn out.
“We all make mistakes. A sin is a sin is a sin. It’s no big smoke, let the boy live. He does music,” says Estelle.
As widely reported figures including Miranda Lambert blasted Grammy Award organizers for allowing Chris Brown the opportunity to perform during “Music’s Biggest Night” due to his past with Rihanna. In so many words they said the Grammy Awards are “not the place” for Chris Brown.
