Britain’s rising talent Jessie J beat out her peers Adele, Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32, landing five MOBO Awards nominations. The “Price Tag” hitmaker logged nominations for Best UK Act, Best Newcomer, Best Video, Best Song and Best Album.

“Rolling in the Deep” singer Adele will compete with Jessie J in three categories – Best Act, Best Song, and Best Album. Adele said “I am so honored to be nominated. I have watched so many of the artists I look up to being nominated, winning awards and performing.”

The voting for the MOBO Awards commenced on August 31, 2011. Fans can submit their choices by visiting MOBO.com.

The MOBO awards are back with a bang this year and the nominations have shocked us all. Jessie J is leading the pack, but she’s not alone – Adele is hot on her heels! It looks like we’re in for an exciting night of musical celebration as some of the world’s biggest stars compete for top honors at next month’s ceremony.

The nominees were announced today, and it’s clear that music-lovers can expect to see plenty of star power on stage. Jessie J has been nominated for Best Female Act and Album of the Year; meanwhile Adele has racked up no fewer than four nods including Best R&B/Soul Artist and Best Song. Other artists joining them on the shortlist include Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah.

It promises to be a fantastic night full of emotion, great music and memorable performances from some amazing talent. With such an impressive lineup competing for glory at the event, who will come out victorious? We’ll just have to wait until November 5th when all will be revealed!

Overview Of Mobo Awards

The MOBO Awards, or Music of Black Origin Awards, is an annual award show dedicated to celebrating the best in British and international music from African, Asian and Caribbean backgrounds. Founded in 1996 by Kanya King MBE, it has become one of the UK’s most prestigious music awards shows.

This year’s nominees for the coveted Best Artist category include Adele, Jessie J and a host of other artists from various genres including soul and jazz. In addition to this category, there are also categories for Best Album, Song of The Year and Best Video which will be hotly contested with some truly inspiring entries being put forward.

The winners will be announced at a star-studded ceremony held later this year – making it yet another opportunity for all those involved to showcase their incredible talent and receive well-deserved recognition. It promises to be an exciting night as everyone joins together to celebrate the cream of musical excellence across multiple genres.

Notable Nominations

The MOBO Awards this year has an incredibly impressive list of nominees. One of the most notable is undoubtedly Adele, whose heartfelt and powerful music continues to captivate audiences worldwide. She faces stiff competition from Jessie J who recently released her third studio album with a string of accompanying singles that have seen her become one of the leading female artists in pop today.

Also up for Best Artist are popular acts such as Stormzy, Craig David and Wizkid – all three bringing something unique to their respective genres while continuing to demonstrate why they are so highly regarded by fans and critics alike. As well as these bigger names, there are also some lesser-known but equally deserving contenders looking to make waves at this year’s awards ceremony.

As we eagerly await the announcement of winners on what promises to be a night full of musical celebration, it’s clear that the MOBO Awards will remain true to its mission: recognizing excellence in music from African, Asian or Caribbean backgrounds across multiple genres.

Conclusion

The MOBO Awards have been celebrating the best of music since 1996, and this year’s nominations are no exception. This year, Jessie J leads the pack with an impressive five nods in categories such as Best Female Act and Best R&B/Soul Act. Adele follows close behind with four nominations including Best Album for her highly acclaimed 25 album.

This is a testament to the incredible talent that exists within the British music industry right now. Both Jessie J and Adele continue to be trailblazers in their respective genres, pushing boundaries and experimenting with new sounds. Their achievements should serve as inspiration for up-and-coming artists who are just starting out on their journeys.

It will certainly be exciting to watch which artist or group comes out on top when the awards ceremony takes place later this year! I’m sure it will be a night full of celebration, joy and recognition for all those involved in creating some amazing art over the last 12 months. Congratulations to all nominees – you have worked hard and deserve every bit of success coming your way!
