Queen Latifah Follows 50 Cent with New Water Deal

Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment has bought into New York based beverage company New York Spring Water Inc, in an effort to expand the company internationally. The Grammy Award winning artist and Oscar nominated actress and her business partner Shakim Compere brokered the deal with help from marketing company United Entertainment Group. “Latifah and I are really excited about this partnership. New York Spring Water is an innovative company and is definitely at the forefront of new product developments in the industry,” states Compere. New York Spring Water’s flagship product, VBlast, is shaped to become a market leader in the Vitamin Water industry, according to industry insiders. VBlast stores liquid vitamins in the cap of each bottle that are released when opened by the consumer. Therefore, VBlast vitamins are not diluted in the water where they can lose potency over time. 7-Eleven convenience stores will be the first national retail chain to house New York Spring Water products on their shelves. Management also reports plans of working with high profile entertainers on marketing and global philanthropic initiatives in coming months.
