Kelly Rowland takes charge in the soon-to-be seen video for “Commander,” the first single from her as-yet-untitled Universal/Motown debut. Calling the video “very edgy” and very cool,” Rowland says the overall concept is about being in charge of what’s going on in the club and basically “having fun”. Speaking from the set of the video, which was shot earlier this month, Rowland said “I’m really happy. It really feels good when you take a risk on something and people are supportive.” Produced by David Guetta with assistance from Rico Love, Rowland says the decision to make “Commander” the lead single was easy. “When i heard the record I said this feels right,” she says. As previously reported, “Commander” leads Rowland’s as-yet-untitled third studio album, due in stores fall 2010.
