Kelly Rowland’s month has been made thanks to the penmanship of Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. Speaking with the Daily Star recently, Kelly Rowland confirmed that Ne-Yo has already contributed a group of songs for her upcoming Universal/Motown debut. “Ne-Yo has written songs for me. It makes me so happy because they are incredible,” admits Rowland, when discussing the direction for the follow up to “Ms. Kelly”. While Ne-Yo has worked with a bevy of artists from Nicole Scherzinger and Britney Spears to Jennifer Hudson and Rihanna, the Destiny’s Child starlet says it’s his emotional lyrics and ability to tell a story, specifically relating to the artist, that makes her excited about working with him. “He thinks about the story and the artist,” she went on to tell Daily Star. “He wants to talk about where they are mentally. That’s what makes him so incredibly great.” As previously reported, Rowland parted ways with Music World Entertainment and management Mathew Knowles last year. She is busy at work on her third album, which has also been linked to “When Love Takes Over” collaborator David Guetta.
