The anticipated ‘This Is It’ film, featuring footage of the late Michael Jackson, will arrive in theaters two days earlier than first announced. According to Sony, the flick, featuring never seen before footage of the King of Pop preparing for what was to be a massive concert series at London’s O2 Arena, will arrive October 28. “For the first time ever, fans will see Michael as they have never seen him before â this great artist at work,” said Kenny Ortega, Director/Choreographer for ‘This Is It’, in a statement. “It is raw, emotional, moving and powerful footage that captures his interactions with the âThis Is Itâ collaborators that he had personally assembled for this once in a lifetime project.” Set for a two week limited engagement, tickets are expected to go on sale in September — an unprecedented, but necessary move according to sources. Contrary to early reports, sources say the film will not feature 3-D sequences.
