According to Sony, the flick, featuring never seen before footage of the King of Pop preparing for what was to be a massive concert series at London’s O2 Arena, will arrive October 28. “For the first time ever, fans will see Michael as they have never seen him before â this great artist at work,” said Kenny Ortega, Director/Choreographer for ‘This Is It’, in a statement. “It is raw, emotional, moving and powerful footage that captures his interactions with the âThis Is Itâ collaborators that he had personally assembled for this once in a lifetime project.” Set for a two week limited engagement, tickets are expected to go on sale in September — an unprecedented, but necessary move according to sources. Contrary to early reports, sources say the film will not feature 3-D sequences.
