Christina Aguilera is thrilled with the anticipated follow up to 2006s “Back To Basics,” an effort she calls “the best of both worlds”. “Working with so many different people, I really kind of wanted to step into their worlds, them into my world and just get the best of both worlds,” Aguilera told listeners on her A.P.E. radio show of the album that will feature collaborative efforts with Santogold, M.I.A, and Lady Tron. “The result was just crazy magic. There truly is something for everyone to enjoy on the record. Lots of good stuff in store!,” says Aguilera. While the “Keeps Gettin’ Better” singer’s excitement is evident, she does admit that the effort is not quite complete and it may be sometime before it arrives in stores. The as-yet-untitled album, tentatively running with the theme “Light & Darkness,” will be Aguilera’s fourth studio album to be released since 1999.
