Kelly Rowland has taken a trip back to no.1 status, thanks to the buzzing single “When Loves Takes Over” ! The David Guetta collaboration, featuring the former “Work” diva, reached no.1 on the UK Singles Chart over the weekend and becomes the first UK no.1 for Rowland since breaking with Destiny’s Child a few years back. “When Loves Takeover,” released late spring 2009, displaces the Black Eyed Peas’ hold on the UK Singles Chart with ‘Boom Boom Pow’. Sliding to no.3, ‘Boom Boom Pow’ was also topped by Pixie Lott’s ‘Mama Do’ (no.2). In related news, Keri Hilson’s Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop singles (US) no.1 cut “Knock You Down” remains in the top 10 on the UK singles chart. Featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West, Hilson’s track locks in at no.5 this week.
