Survey In On Kelly Rowland: Fans Blame Matthew Knowles For Career Mishandling

Their has been a lot of controvercy surrounding R&B singer Kelly Rowland lately due to her departure from Columbia Records and her split from manager Matthew Knowles. A lot of the uproar surrounds Roland’s success or lack of success in comparison to former Destiny’s Child bandmate Beyonce Knowles with Mathew Knowles at the helm. In a survey conducted at Singersroom, visitors weighed in. Seventy percent of fans surveyed believed Matthew Knowles prohibited Kelly Rowland from having a successful solo career, while the majority (62%) felt her career was mediocre. When it came to judging whether Beyonce aided or impeded Rowland’s success, fans were split with 35% agreeing versus 33% disagreeing that she did not impede on Kelly’s success. Looking from the outside in, we can only assume from the information the media delivers, but either way, R&B fans still plan to support Ms. Kelly as she pursue a new direction in her career. In addition, 82% of surveyors would like her to release a new album. Despite everything that has happened in her life, Kelly tells myFoxla that she’s “happy.” Currently Kelly Rowland has collaborated with house music artist David Guetta on “When Love Takes Over.” She was also tapped to host the new Bravo series “The Fashion Show,” which is set to premiere May 7th.
