Pussycat Dolls To Open MTV Asia Awards, Group Climbs Australian Charts

The Pussycat Dolls are taking their “Doll Domination” international within the next month. The group who is currently enjoying success with their new single “When I Grow Up” in the U.S. will perform for the first time in Asia at the MTV Asia Awards 2008 on August 2nd. Joining previously announced artists including Jabbawockeez, Leona Lewis, and One Republic “the dolls” are expected to take the stage in Genting, Malaysia for the MTV Asia celebration of music. In related news, The Pussycat Dolls are hot in Australia now. “When I Grow Up” jumped eighteen spots on the Australian singles chart last week (26-8) and this week sits just above Rihanna’s hit “Take A Bow” and Chris Brown’s single “Forever” at no.3. Portions of the MTV Asia Awards 2008 will be carried on MTV channels worldwide. The Pussycat Dolls are slated to release their sophomore effort “Doll Domination” September 16th.
