Despite being verbally attacked by a contestant who said she couldn’t sing, Mary J. Blige says her time as a judge on American Idol was “so much fun,” but hard at the same time. “It was really hard, you know, because you didn’t want to be bursting out into laughter,” Blige told US magazine. As for contestants upset with the result of their auditions, including an Atlanta man who had to be escorted out, Blige says “that’s their problem, not mine.” “I had to be honest with people,” admits Blige. “Someone got upset, but that’s their problem, not mine.” Blige appeared on ‘American Idol’ aired Wednesday, January 13.
