Following the recent news of her engagement, Chrisette Michele drops a new tune on her own new imprint Rich Hipster (via Capitol/Caroline Records). This is called "Steady," a Blckie Blaze-produced, trap-hop offering on which Chrisette lets her svelte vocals glide over in the name of "getting those checks," especially as a bosstress running her own label!
With a different image, “Steady” is an obvious departure from her love ballads, as Christte is ready to show a different side to herself on her forthcoming project. She told HotNewHipHop, "I'm ready to play. I miss being a choreographer. I miss my leather pants. I miss being excited. I love my ballads and there will be some in this new album, Milestone, but it's time to let my hair down and step outside of the box. I can't wait to share."
