Christina Aguilera recently released the new album, Liberation, which is set to debut in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
According to Chart Data on Twitter, the LP will round out the Top 5 with 62-67k in sales (68-73k including streaming).
All things considering, this is actually very promising! 2012’s Lotus clocked in at 73,408 units in its opening week, and a lot has changed in six years.
‘Liberation’ is headed by the previous releases “Accelerate,” feat. 2 Chainz & Ty Dolla $ign, and “Like I Do” Ft. GoldLink.
“I kinda felt like I was asleep at the wheel and going in autopilot for the past few years, not living up to my full potential and the purpose of why I’m living on this Earth: to sing and make music,” Aguilera told Entertainment Weekly of her album title. “So I’m getting back to that and getting back to my own personal truth. It’s almost like a new shedding of skin.”
