Pop artist JoLivi releases the music video for her latest single “Love Who You Wanna Love”.
The clip takes viewers on a journey of discovery and realization, much like the original track. JoLivi gathers members and allies of the LGBTQ community as she sings in encouragement, “Be who you wanna be, love who you wanna love, change if you wanna change.”
“I am so unbelievably proud of the message this song and video express,” JoLivi told ARTISTdirect. “I truly believe that LOVE is so important to spread. Especially with what we are going through right now with a divide in our societies.” In the new visuals, Jo focuses on one important fact: “No matter who we are, where we are from, and what we do or look like, we are all still human and should always treat each other with love and respect.”

Behind her inspiration for “Love Who You Wanna Love,” JoLivi told Bust Magazine, “I’ve had friends struggle through times of confusion on their orientation and before my own experience I had always encouraged them to break free and not care about what anyone else will think of them. But I now know that it is extremely difficult.” While JoLivi has always been comfortable in her own skin and a proud supporter of the LGBTQ community, this song marked her first public dialogue about her sexuality, offering an invitation for listeners to embrace their own truths.
Drawing on personal ups and downs, JoLivi offers an intimate take on pop. Self-described as “curious, loving, confident and definitely resilient,” JoLivi pens tracks about bouncing back after hardships in life and love.
