Washington, D.C. native William Casanova aims to build on real R&B with the release of “Vibes,” the first single off his upcoming project, R&B is Dead, slated for November 30th.
On the track, the 25-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer draws inspiration from the 90s, specifically Mint Condition’s classic “What Kind Of Man Would I Be,” as he soulfully croons about not settling down, even though a particular woman tickles his fancy. No special effects on this one, just Casanova delivering strong and emotional vocals coupled with colorful melodies.
On his upcoming project, R&B is Dead, Casanova plans to “highlight the lack of personality & depth of today’s mainstream R&B, while trying to motivate, inspire and challenge artists of the genre to create more heartfelt music.”
