Sandé previously spoke about the record, which boasts roaring vocals and cinematic strings. “Sounds a bit dramatic but I just wanted to disappear,” she said. “I just had this overwhelming sensation and realization everything had to stop. And then slowly it did.”
‘Breathing Underwater’ follows up the previously released songs ‘Garden‘ and ‘Hurt.’
Speaking about her new album, which follows her mega-selling debut, Our Version of Events, Emeli added: “I’m proud of my first album and thankful for the experiences it gave me. But I’m so much happier with my new album and with where I am in life.”
Long Live the Angels will be released on November 11 and is available to pre-order now.
