Inspired by her first language of Amharic (Ethiopia), Austin,TX-based singer-songwriter Mélat releases the Pha The Phenom-produced track “Konjo,” meaning “beautiful.”

Over the sweet, piano-laden track, Mélat eases through the winding production, telling her dude how one word is all he needs to make her feel like she should.

“I really really like it when you call me “konjo” / Before you hang up the phone, it’s “see you later, konjo / And when that new dress fit right, it’s “I see you, konjo”/ Got me feeling like I should / Like I should, like I should,” she sings on the chorus.

Move with Mélat into her bilingual world…
