Ciara & Rapper Future Awarded Joint Custody Over Baby Future

According to TMZ, a Los Angeles judge ruled that Ciara and Future share joint custody of their son, Future Zahir Wilburn (who turns two on Thursday, May 19).

A source told TMZ that Ciara and Future had a court date yesterday (Monday) where Ciara and her lawyer fought for sole custody of their child. She’s been petitioning for sole custody for months, ever since she filed a $15 million lawsuit against Future claiming defamation of character over his Twitter rants. TMZ says, “We’re told she and her lawyer also trash talked Future to the judge, saying he was a bad person.”

But the judge didn’t seem affected by Ciara argument.

Daddy Future showed up in court to argue for joint custody, and the judge took his side, and eventually ruled in his favor. TMZ adds that Cali law states that both parents have equal power in decisions regarding the welfare of the child, not necessarily the time spent with the child.

What do you think, Roomies? Fair ruling?
