Following the release of her latest project Jerk Sauce, Jamaican songstress Sade Serena unleashes the remix to her single “DUM” featuring reggae vet Shaggy. Serena teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer James Farmer (a.k.a) J-Vibe for the single, an uptempo female anthem heavily influenced by her Caribbean heritage.
Over a light reggae tinge, Sade brings out the truth to her lover: he’s not the only one getting played.
“I don’t really are who you lovin’ / as long as you wear a wrapper / I know that we’re just having some fun / You can do what you want to …/ You know you’re not the only one / You must think that I’m dumb,” she sings on the first verse. Ooop! I guess she told him!
Mid-song, Shaggy adds his verse in his signature verse.
“Growing up I have always looked up to Shaggy and other Reggae artist like Sean Paul and Elephant Man that paved their way into mainstream success. To have a diamond-selling artist like Shaggy on my record is a dream come true for me,” Serena says.
