Oakland, California R&B songwriter Jane Handcock steps out from behind the scenes to releases her Raphael Saadiq-presented debut project Truth Be Told.

This is s solid, play-all-the-way-through project, all 13-tracks tap into Jane’s ear for lush harmonies, and stellar songwriter capabilities. Songs like “Kiss Me” and “Nina’s Blues” feature insatiable grooves and 90s vibes.

Handcock has worked behind the scenes with many big names in the music business, including  Kelly Rowland , Big Krit, KeKe Palmer, Tank, Tyrese, Kehlani, and Producers Teddy Riley, The Social Experiment, Justice League, Vinylz, Harmony Samuels, James Fauntleroy, 1500 or Nothin and  Polow tha Don, as well as with close friend and writing partner Adrian Marcel.  It was at  OSA – (Oakland School for the Arts) where she met fellow classmate Marcel as well as Kehlani.
