You may know Keith Robinson from his role as “C.C. White” in the Academy Award-winning film Dreamgirls, but now he’s taking his own, real-life path to the top of the music industry with his new single “Love Somebody.”
The groove on this song is great; Robinson’s vocals are soulful, strong, and smooth, putting him in the same league as Carl Thomas, Calvin Richardson, Eric Benet, etc.; once you hear Robinson’s falsetto on the intro should convince you of that!
The song’s concept focuses on Keith as he tries to convince his love interest he’s the one: “Why can’t you love somebody when I’m right in your face?” he asks on the chorus.
Robinson’s song “Patience” from the Dreamgirls soundtrack was also Oscar-nominated.
“Love Somebody” follows his 2012 release “Loving You,” and is from Robinson’s full-length album Love Episodic due in the spring on Street Smart Entertainment/Scenes & Songs.
