Singer-songwriter/producer Dwayne “Di Alo” has no qualms about being addicted to his bae on his Snare Jordan-produced song, “Junkie.”
“Smoking gets me high, but you take me somewhere else …Addicted to your love I am, but I will not get clean…I’ll be your junkie, baby,” the Honolulu-by-way-of-Seattle singer admits on the first verse and chorus.
“When people hear my music, I want them to connect emotionally to the song,” says Alo. “I want my music to evoke a feeling and trigger a reaction.”
And that seems to be the case; Alo had a big year with many of his songs being placed on some of TV's and the silver screen’s biggest hits. In 2014, one of his songs was featured in the hit ABC drama “How To Get Away With Murder,” which led to his next placement on the second season of Showtime’s hit drama series “Ray Donovan.” Alo’s popularity and placements continued well into 2015 where his music was featured in “Power,” the STARZ original series and VH1’s successful drama series "Hit the Floor." Also in 2015, Alo had a placement in one of the summer’s biggest blockbuster films, Marvels "Ant-Man."
Alo is currently prepping an upcoming mixtape.
