On the July 25th episode of her and her husband Flex Alexander’s docu-series, "Flex & Shanice," R&B singer Shanice debuted a new song called “Another Lonely Day in California.”
With producer Mali Hunter, this is the first time Shanice shared songwriting duties. The song starts with a vulnerable vibe as Shanice sings of her emotional cloud — she aches for emotional redemption as it comes slowly, one day at a time. It then opens into a rapturous ode to optimism: “You can’t have sunshine without the rain, so you just have to deal with the pain,” she sings.
