Mike Posner's "Be As You Are" is a tribute to his mother, the person who gave him life advice and love during his times of confusion. On the biographical ballad, the singer-songwriter spotlights "times of trouble" that he had to overcome.
His mother's advice: "There are moments when you fall to the ground, but you are stronger than you feel you are now / You don't always have to speak so loud… just be as you are."
The piano-driven record is simple but powerful, and MP delivers the right amount of passion.
