Earlier this year, Teedra Moses inked a record deal with indie house Shanachie Entertainment to release her long-awaited sophomore album and first LP in over a decade. The follow-up to her much-loved 2004 debut, Complex Simplicity, entitled Cognac & Conversation, is led by the Thaddeus Dixion-produced single "All I Ever Wanted," featuring Rick Ross, which samples Camp Lo's "Luchini."
"Cognac & Conversation is music that's meant to be light-hearted at times while deep in other moments," explains Teedra. "It's meant to be comforting and relatable but at the same time thought provoking and inspiring. The conversation and vibe could be with yourself, the home girls, or your lover."
She adds: "Cognac & Conversation is music to serve a soundtrack to life. I am so excited to finally have this new album for all the fans who have stayed by my side all these years."
To heighten the buzz around the pending LP, Teedra unwraps the new song, "Get It Right." On the soulful ballad, the Young Lioness delivers an eargasmic lesson to any suitors, letting them know what qualities she will give her time to. As always, Teedra's musical compassion emotes a beautiful masterpiece… "get it right."
Although it's been over a decade since she dropped an album, Teedra released a few projects, including the 'Luxurious Undergrind' mixtape and the recent EP, California Vibes.
