Vocal powerhouse Leela James follows up her previously released singles "Fall For You," and "Save Me" with the soulful gem, "Set Me Free." On the self-produced, two-stepping groove, the R&B singer-songwriter asks her man, "why you keep doing me wrong?" as she pleads, "If you love me, set me free."
If only it was as easy as it sounds! Nonetheless, James and her raspy delivery paint a vivid picture of an obstacle many couples face when the love is no longer present.
"Set Me Free" is lifted from Leela's latest LP, Fall For You.
In related news, Leela James will join Ledisi and Raheem DeVaughn the 23-city 'The Intimate Truth Tour,' which is scheduled to kick off February 27 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.
