Lauryn Hill is going on tour! It’s not a big tour, and she’s only hitting up D.C and NYC, but we’ll take it!
In February, Hill will perform for six dates for the “Small Axe: Acoustic Performance Series” where she will play two days at the Howard Theater and then four days at various locations in New York City.
According to Rolling Stone, “‘Small Axe’ is likely a reference to the Bob Marley song of the same name; Marley's son Rohan is the father of five of Hill's children, and Hill frequently performs the reggae legend's music live.”
Each venue only seats between 250 and 500 people, so you gotta be quick with getting your tickets! Tickets go on sale today (Jan. 10) on Hill's official site, and options include a VIP package, which features a meet and greet with Lauryn and an autograph, among other things.
While this is exciting news, let’s hope Lauryn shows up on time for her dates; last fall, Hill was slammed by fans when she showed up to Voodoo Music Experience 40 minutes late and had to delay her performance for 30 minutes at the Bonnaroo festival.
