Faith Evans has two albums in the works; her upcoming eighth studio effort, and a planned duet album with her late husband and hip-hop icon, Notorious B.I.G.
As far as the latter, in a recent interview with HipHopHollywood, Faith confirmed the pending project, insisting, “I’m also about to start working on a very very special musical project with me and BIG… It’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for many, many years… I finally got all my ducks in a row to make it happen."
You may not hear any remakes of B.I.G’s classics on the album. According to Faith, “it’s definitely unheard music.” The opus will also draw inspiration from Natalie Cole and her late father Nat King Cole, who recorded the project, Unforgettable.
Currently titled, “The King and I,” the project may arrive in late 2015.
As far as the present, Evans’ new album, Incomparable, will arrive on November 24, which also serves as the 20th anniversary of her self-titled debut LP. Led by the singles “I Deserve It,” featuring Missy Elliott and Sharaya J, and “Good Time,” featuring Problem, the set will boast 17 tracks with additional features from Keke Wyatt, Karen Clark-Sheard, and B. Slade.
