Rihanna has been going through a battle, trying to put her best foot forward, on her first album in roughly two years.
Teasing the anticipated album, which is her eighth, the "Hard" and "Nobody's Business" singer said "it's going to be great" while admitting that she might have over-thought this project a bit.
"I can't give you any hints of when it will drop. It's going to be great, that's all I'm going to tell you and I'm excited about it," Rihanna told the Associated Press during a military related event this month. "I try to battle myself and outdo everything I've done and that's been the hardest thing to do. You start over-thinking things at times."
A release date has not been publicly announced, but it seems Rihanna has a goal of releasing it "little by little."
"I can't wait for everybody to hear (the music) little by little. … little by little. I can't wait," she said when asked if we'll hear the music this month, which is her usual release period for new albums.
As previously reported, Rihanna has tapped DJ Mustard for the album.
