Let’s face it: the music industry ain’t what it used to be. That being said, artists are finding creative ways to release music, whether it be dropping surprise albums (i.e. Beyonce), or like in this curious case of Usher.
Earlier this year, Usher and Honey Nut Cheerios partnered for a funky commercial that featured his song “She Came To Give It To You.” Now Ursh and the cereal company are linking up again to share some more tunes.
On the bottom of marked boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios sold exclusively at Walmart, there’s a code to download this song “Clueless,” a contemporary tune with retro qualities. It’s Usher at his smoothest; modernized with an occassional chopped and screwed voice, the song features an undeniable funk added by the chords and the "wocka-wocka" of the guitar, like a timeless 70s groove.
It's uncertain if "Clueless" will grace Usher's upcoming album, but this might be worth a box of Honey Nut Cheerios, no?
