On Wednesday (Nov. 12), to honor Veteran's Day, Rihanna launched her first men's fragrance "Rogue Man" for army personnel at Fort Belvoir in Virginia after performing "Stay" and "Diamonds" for the troops. While there, she talked about the fragrance, and also let in on her upcoming eighth studio album, R8, which everyone is buzzing about.
She didn’t drop any hints about a release date, but she hyped it up, saying she's "excited" about the project and calling it "great."
"I try to battle myself and outdo everything I've done and that's been the hardest thing to do. You start overthinking things at times," she admitted. "I can't wait for everybody to hear (the music) little by little….I can't wait."
About the fragrance, the Bajan singer said it’s for sexy, hardworking men: "They're running around all day working hard. And, you know, the guys are sexy. They need to smell sexy." The single singer also flirted with the idea of find an army boo: "Hopefully I'll find one [a rouge man] here today on the base," she said.
About the music, Ne-Yo recently cosigned RiRi’s new project, calling it “incredible” in an interview with UK’s Capital XTRA. He even said the singer may gain some new fans from the new music. “The stuff I've heard is absolutely incredible. I can’t speak on what it sounds like because I’ll get in trouble. But I definitely feel like people are gonna enjoy it,” he said. “Anybody that’s a Rihanna fan is gonna stay a Rihanna fan, and anybody that’s not might become a Rihanna fan behind what’s coming. Just gear up for it.”
