For a while over the summer, heartthrob Mike Jay was covering 90s classics like Tyrese’s “Sweet Lady” and Carl Thomas’ “Emotional,” showing his love for that era of R&B music. Recently he’s been dropping new jams one after the other on his Soundcloud page, this one called “#1 Fan” which draws from his 90s inspirations.
The content is of your standard freaky talk, but it’s the lush chorus and harmonies that stand out with undertones of a Mint Condition and/or Jodeci jam. “Baby you’re my #1 fan, you are,” he confidently sings of his “skills.”
