Dawn Richard is all good with the new Danity Kane album dropping on October 28th.
“After working with both The Stereotypes and BMG – There is an album coming out,” Dawn writes on Instagram.
DK3 announced their second breakup in early August (2014), following a violent incident at a studio with members Dawn and Aubrey O’Day, who later penned an open letter blaming Dawn for the group's demise.
Dawn took blame for the attack on Aubrey in the studio, but her reasons, along with some sources close to the group, claim O’Day and Shannon Bex were meeting behind her back … recording tracks without her and discussing business matters involving the group.
It seems those sessions were scrapped for the album as Dawn adds in her note, “Minus a few tampered vocals, I’m proud to say that I am a writer on the last Danity Kane album to be released.”
She continued: “Please check out both “Tell Me” and “Two Sides” (I wrote on both). You’ve waited a long time. You guys deserve the music.”
The executive producers of "DK3" are the Stereotypes, who are responsible for the group’s biggest hit, “Damaged.” The album is the follow-up to 2008's "Welcome to the Dollhouse."
"We are very proud of the music we made as a group,” a new statement released by the group said. “It is our hope our fans will enjoy and support this final album from Danity Kane."
