Here’s title track from Michael Jackson’s Xscape, due out May 13, and it sounds like quintessential MJ through and through! Produced by Rodney Jerkins, MJ sings over hard rhythms about how he wants to get away from it all; most definitely something he wanted to do when it came to the blinding glare of mega fame. According to DirectLyrics.com, Xscape was recorded during the Invincible album era (circa 2001).
The LP is helmed by record exec L.A. Reid, who got the green light from MJ's estate to dive into the vaults of unreleased music from the late King of Pop. The project will feature contemporary production from Jerkins, Timbaland, Stargate, and John McClain.
MJ’s nephew TJ, though, is on the fence about the whole thing. According to The Sun, the former 3T member said, "I have mixed emotions because as an artist and as his nephew I know he'd want a final listen before anything he did was released to the public." He continued: "Saying that though, that's my uncle and I want him and anything associated with him to be successful."
