Chrisette Michele is working on two big projects this year, including a new album and the forthcoming second season of R&B Divas LA.
In a recent interview, the "Blame It On Me" singer opened up about both and how she's more excited than she's ever been about the album.
"It’s in production right now, and it is the most excitement I have had so far," Michele shared with Uptown magazine. "This is the first time that I am getting able to compose with arrangers and composers."
Titled "The Lyricist's Opus," the album will include live instrumentation and is self funded.
As for "R&B Divas LA," Michele is optimistic about the season and actually has a like for the women that surround her on the show.
"I actually like them,” she shared. "I was very afraid, because I would be the one to smack somebody. I took them to get therapy, because I was like ‘if we are going to be in this place together, we need to see a therapist."
"R&B Divas LA" is expected to return later this year on TV One.
